Introduction - What is it like being a Cosplayer?

I am JenNyan, and I am still at the very beginning. I'm not calling myself a cosplayer yet, because I didn't cosplay any characters yet. All my life I was addicted to animestuff, I wanted to start cosplaying when I was about 10 years old: Sailor Moon. Now I am 19, I didn't have money for it and still don't have, but I builded a facebookpage and a fashionblog to gain followers - and to get sponsored by various shops.. Including cosplayshops. I never made any cosplays because I wasn't able to - missing money & skill. Now I have a couple of shops sponsoring costumes, wigs, lenses, etc. I just got my first cosplays - and I am happy, very happy I will wear them soon. My biggest dream is about to come true. :)

What are your next goals?

Inspire many people by my activities, get much experience, become a great cosplayer!

Nothing yet - but I got the costumes of Tauga (Toradora) & Asuna - Titania Version (sao)

What does Cosplay mean to you?

It means a lot: Childhood, dreams, hobby.

Do you have any advice or suggestions for upcoming Cosplayers?

Never let anyone tell you, you are Bad at anything. Do what you want to do, live your dreams and let them come true. :)

What is the most negative experience you've dealt with while cosplaying, and how did you handle it?

I don't think it is really mega negative. Some people are thinking they have to bully me for everything I'm doing, but that's okay, I mean, everyone needs something what he's good at. :3
