About Littlejem

Introduction - What is it like being a Cosplayer?

Hey my name is Littlejem or Jem, and ive been cosplaying for almost a year now :) i first got into cosplaying by being a little more out-casted by other girls because i liked playing games and watching anime, When i went to uni i joined the anime and games society which then lead me into cosplaying. Being a cosplayer really makes it easy to surround myself with the kind of people i enjoy talking to. The community cosplaying builds is like nothing else for me. Not only that, it gives me something to do in my free time, hehe ^^.

What are your next goals?

Too get loads more likes on my page and get to know more cosplayers whilst making new costumes that will hopefully get better and better :)))

Cosplay Characters

In order: 1) Female Kakashi - naruto 2)daenerys targaryen- game of thrones 3) Random recruit - Attack on Titan 4)Ahri - League of legends 5)Serena - pokemon 6)nidalee - league of legends 7)Malon - The legend of zelda 8) pool party ahri - league of legends Im currently working on Frost queen janna from league of legends and Astrid from how to train your dragon 2. Also id like to think each time i (or anyone else) does a new cosplay its better than the last :)

What does Cosplay mean to you?

It means quite a lot as i am able to feel myself without all the worries of not 'fitting in'

Who have been your biggest influences/role models/mentors?

My friends and the people i meet at different conventions, obliviously professional cosplayers like Jessica N, has inspired me but nothings more encouraging than the people meet online and at conventions :)

Do you have any advice or suggestions for upcoming Cosplayers?

My advice......and im sure almost every cosplayer would say the same, is that dont worry if you attend conventions alone or you dont think your costume will 'be good enough' because people will see the effort you have put in and will want to talk to you about it. If dont want to cosplay outside of your home then why not set up a page? or invite some friends to come along with you. its crazy at first i thought my friends would decline, and judge me but actually, they ended up having just as much fun as i did :P. Even if your a casual cosplayer or an extreme one, get in touch with us as we would all love to help you :D

What is the most negative experience you've dealt with while cosplaying, and how did you handle it?

Well to be quite honest as soon as im at a convention or im posting on my page nothing negative has actually occurred some constructive feedback but thats expected. however when im going to a convention i sometimes have to take public transport in some of my costume, some people give you nasty looks and some smile, some even ask and want to join in! but its pretty easy to ignore all of that - not like im gonna see them again ;)

Any final remarks or shout-outs?

Love ya ! plus if anyone wants help with anything like my page and message me! <3
