About Typhlosionwolf

Introduction - What is it like being a Cosplayer?

Being a cosplayer is quite fun indeed! It's a great way to express yourself and to have fun. My personal favorite part of cosplaying is getting to chance to act as some of my favorite characters. Making people smile and laugh by acting as characters definitely makes me happy.

What are your next goals?

To complete my Pokemon card dress. I had to start over on it since my cat threw up all over my original one but oh well!

Cosplay Characters

The characters I've cosplayed so far are Scraggy, Typhlosion, Team Magma Grunt, Blake Belladonna, and I'm currently working on making a dress out of Pokemon cards.

What does Cosplay mean to you?

To me cosplay means getting to express yourself through something you love. It's a fun way to show off your passion for certain characters or shows.

Who have been your biggest influences/role models/mentors?

To be honest, my original inspiration for cosplay was a girl that I used to go to anime club with. She used to show off awesome costumes she made and she's pretty much what inspired me to take up cosplay.

Do you have any advice or suggestions for upcoming Cosplayers?

Basically just have fun. Work hard on your costumes and don't worry what others think if you decide to cosplay a character that doesn't exactly look like you. As long as you enjoy yourself that's all that matters.

What is the most negative experience you've dealt with while cosplaying, and how did you handle it?

At A-Kon 2012 I was dressed as Scraggy from Pokemon. It was a mascot type outfit and it was very VERY hot to wear. I became extremely overheated and needed to get out of the costume fast. The only problem was that I was surrounded by a mob of people taking pictures of me. My best friend helped me to push through the crowd so I could get to the pool area to take my costume off seeing as how I was about to vomit from heat exhaustion. I finally made it out of the crowd and bolted to for the pool area. The only problem was that there was this girl who was relentlessly chasing and grabbing me. I told her to please wait but she wouldn't stop until I posed for pictures with her. After about 5 minutes of her chasing me through the hotel as I tried to get to the pool I finally gave up and took pictures with her since I was literally about to pass out. Not exactly my funnest experience but definitely one of my most memorable.

Any final remarks or shout-outs?
