Introduction - What is it like being a Cosplayer?

Well truly this was my first year doing it. I love dressing up for Halloween, when my boyfriend and I decided to go to Texas comicon in San Antonio I knew we need to dress up. We talked about different ideas we wanted to do a duo cosplay. We went from Batman and Robin to Finn and Jake but those are cosplays that very popular and done often so we looked to the more obscure duo characters. My first idea was Chromedome and Rewind from Transformers: More than meets the eye, but we didn't have the time or resources to create these costumes. Then while watching Venture Bros. it hit us. We enjoyed our experience it was very positive many people wanted to take pictures of us or with us.

What are your next goals?

Well I have many of my friends who want to join us next time we go to a convention and build on the Venture bros. cosplay.

Cosplay Characters

Well I have cosplayed on Halloween as Finn from Adventure Time (I have pictures), Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean and Optimus Prime from Transformer G1

What does Cosplay mean to you?

Cosplay means to me is to show everyone your knowledge(nerdness) of your favorite fictional world/character

Who have been your biggest influences/role models/mentors?

My theater teacher from high school Mr. Timms has to be my biggest influence he told me to first enjoy the role i am to play and to make sure the audience enjoys it as well.

Do you have any advice or suggestions for upcoming Cosplayers?

Just go out and have fun don't let anyone put you down and don't put anyone else down.

What is the most negative experience you've dealt with while cosplaying, and how did you handle it?

People who point out mistakes in your costumes or insult you. I just laughed it off or said I would perfect it next time.

Any final remarks or shout-outs?

Well I am new to this world really and I just want to thank everyone for being so kind and Supported. I would like to give a shout-out to my boyfriend James who was Dean in our cosplay love you babe you are my best.
