Being a cosplayer has it's ups and downs. Not many cosplayers will admit that there are in fact downs, but I like to be completely honest. The work is grueling and sometimes near impossible, especially if you are working with foreign materials. These costumes take time, and I don't have much left for friends and family especially when I'm trying for a deadline. Not that I'm complaining, because guess what? Every single second of it is absolutely amazing. Every creative molecule in my body goes towards these costumes and I love each and every one of them. My family is extremely supportive of my processes, even if my costumes do take me away from them and sometime crazy amounts of money from my bank account. (My wallet hates cosplaying. A lot.) Through out my life I have gained friends and I have also lost them, but cosplaying has given me an outlet to meet many friends, probably some that will be there for a lifetime, and also discover my self as a person. Nothing in my life is more important than my cosplaying right now, and although some people may think it's weird or stupid or for crazy people... It's me. And I may be weird, stupid, and crazy (I probably am) but I would rather be this way than any other way. Except being a Pokemon trainer I think that would be pretty cool too, oh wait, I ALREADY HAVE BEEN ONE. Take that society!
