About Sonny

Introduction - What is it like being a Cosplayer?

I'm very new at cosplaying and have only been to one con so far... But I've always loved to dress up and do makeup... Everyone I met at the con was so creative and nice, it was unbelievable. Cosplay is an awesome opportunity to meet new people and be yourself (or not yourself) for a few days a year. Follow me on Instagram @cosplaybunny

What are your next goals?

I don't even know! I would like to get more followers on my cosplay Instagram @cosplaybunny!

Cosplay Characters

My first official cosplay was a kind of crappy FemLink from the Legend of Zelda. I'm making an improved version for the future! I've also dressed up as Misa from Death Note. I'm currently working on the Blink 182 Enema of the State, album cover nurse. I'm so excited!

What does Cosplay mean to you?

To me, cosplay is creativity, family, friends, pop culture, and art.

Who have been your biggest influences/role models/mentors?

I don't even know! There are so many people that I look up too... A lot if my inspiration comes from Reddit's r/cosplay.

Do you have any advice or suggestions for upcoming Cosplayers?

I'm so new that I can't really give advice, but I've always heard, never have limits, be creative, don't do what everyone else is doing!

What is the most negative experience you've dealt with while cosplaying, and how did you handle it?

At my most recent con, everyone was taking pictures of me and I was totally flattered, but I feel like a few total creeps got my picture too and that is a little unsettling...

Any final remarks or shout-outs?
